Leasing Consultant
Fontana, CA

Location: Hillcrest Apartment Homes located in Fontana, CA with 53 units
Reports to: Community Manager
Full Time – Non-Exempt/Hourly
This position offers an hourly rate plus an apartment on site as compensation
Work hours: 8am-5 pm Monday – Friday.‬

As a Leasing Consultant, you will play an important role with the onsite management team. This position reports to the Onsite Community Manager. We are looking for someone who will make a big impact in many ways – a friendly smile when greeting residents and guests. A sincere interest in the people walking through the property door, create a positive influence on the guests and residents and understand the importance of first impressions and building relationships. The culture of this property is very friendly and has the feel of one big family environment.‬‬

As a leasing consultant, you will be the first point of contact so it is imperative to be able to successfully manage conversations with our senior residents with grace, patience, kindness and yet be able to solve their problems swiftly.‬‬

Minimum Experience Required:‬‬

  • 1 year of Leasing Experience‬
  • 1 year in a customer service related field‬
  • 10 key and a basic understanding of Fair Housing‬‬
  • Fluent in Spanish‬‬
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading & writing in English‬‬
  • Must have basic math skills‬‬
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent‬‬
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel‬‬
  • Requires attention to detail and quite a bit of reporting‬‬

Preferred Experience:

  • YARDI Software‬

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:‬‬
Work closely with the Community Manager to facilitate leasing through:

  • Greeting customers and answer telephones‬
  • Processing rental applications and maintenance service requests‬‬
  • Answering questions and helping residents solve problems‬‬
  • Show rent ready apartments‬‬
  • Meet with prospective applicants‬‬
  • Effectively qualify prospective residents and verifying applications‬‬
  • Prepare lease documents and related paperwork‬‬
  • Ensure all applications are completed in their entirety and in a timely manner‬‬
  • Record traffic is software program on a daily basis‬‬
  • Follow up with Guest Cards or a “Thank You” response cards‬‬
  • Take a proactive role in shopping the competition and marketing‬‬
  • Be aware of and the relay information regarding the property’s general appearance and condition‬‬
  • Organized and proficient at time management‬‬
  • Accept maintenance requests as professionally, efficiently and effectively as possible when needed.‬‬
  • Assist in performing move-in and move-out administration with particular attention to consistent apartment inspections.‬‬
  • Represent Quality Management Group, Inc. in a professional manner. Maintain a positive businesslike attitude in person and on the telephone. Maintain a neat, clean, professional dress and grooming appropriate for greeting the public.‬‬
  • Adhere to Fair Housing Policy, ADA, Injury and Illness Prevention Policy and Asbestos and Hazardous Materials‬‬

Maintenance Technician
Fontana, CA‬‬

Location: Valencia Woods Apartment Homes located in Fontana, CA with 53 units
Reports to the Community Manager
Full Time – Non-Exempt / Hourly
The schedule is Monday – Friday and may be required to work some nights and weekends and occasional holidays based on business need of the community.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Timely coordination, execution and thorough documentation of completion of all repair common area and unit repairs. This includes physical systems maintenance, monitoring and forecasting physical interior and exterior components of the property.
  • Administrative accountability includes use of mobile and fixed computerized applications to ensure that work assignments, progress, forecast and history is thoroughly and timely documented to support fiscal goals of the property.
  • Responsible for understanding budget and exercising expense control of property repairs and maintenance, unit replacement, contracted services and capital repair budget categories.
  • Comply with all aspects of Fair Housing and Harassment Awareness training and protocols in performance of all tasks and assignments. Maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years property management industry experience and Maintenance Technician at least 1 year as a leader/manager
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Must be comfortable with smartphones.
  • Must speak, read & write English proficiently.
  • Must speak Spanish fluently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Must be organized and proficient at time management.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance.
  • Must have practical experience, working knowledge and ability to perform:
  • Minor electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets etc.
  • Minor plumbing repairs to clear drain stoppages, replace fittings and faucets.
  • Replace broken titles, screens, garage, disposals, fixtures, appliances, window blinds, locks etc.
  • Perform minor carpentry work, such as fitting doors, repairing cabinetry, aligning and unsticking windows and doors, sanding and refinishing hardware and surfaces, fence repair and rebuild etc.
  • Grounds repairs of sprinklers, valves and timers.
  • Minor masonry, concrete, roof, fencing and painting.
  • Other duties as may be needed relevant to facilities maintenance.
  • Working knowledge regarding water and gas meter shutoffs and sewer cleanouts for common areas and individual units.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Understanding of MSDS protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
